"1968 = Saw daylight
1978 = First bar chord
1982 = Started playing bass
in a band, great instrument but no one wants to snog the bass player. Realized
potential of music making and got an electric guiotar. Still dabbling in
bass playing occasioally I must admit"

These songs
have left the mainstream ballads style. In a way they go back to
the roots, in another way they are of a progressive Swedish elegance.
Music to listen
to, brought by a great and unique voice.
Peter plays bass,
guitars, "and other noises". (OK, he let friends do
the drums ...at last.) |
"New
Cross 99: Good 4 U - Cookies & Tea - Piknik In The Park (Igor Cubrilovic
played the bass and engineered. Mike Fugeman hit the drums)
New Cross 2000: Down
Here - PIcking Pieces - #3 (Igor tweaking buttons, me drinking cider and
making noise)
Clerkenwell 01: No Worries
- Our of Jazz - Not much of a view (The view was in fact the east London
tube line where it rattles off to New Cross gate and it was recorded in
Clerkenwell by Ricky Barlow." 1998: Psycho Song dates back to 1998 and was reconded by a Danish guy named Andreas in Lonon. |
Songs from
the streets of Europe
The generation
of young mobile Europeans
conquers the
world's hearts, quiet, thoughtful, angry
and in a very
freaky way...civilized

Pete:"These
songs were written and recorded within two years in east London because
I thought they were great. Easy to write, easy to play and people liked
them. Recorded in three batches in New Cross and Clerkenwell between sort
of 99 and 01. I seem to remember having a good time doing it."

You can't just
call these songs ballads. They are not sweet enough, they are too sexy
too ironic, not sarcastic really. They are a product made at the end of
a millennium which grew up in small villages and went to big cities' streets
where you have to sing aloud to be heard.

"1992 = Moved to Stockholm
1997 = London
2003 = Need a holiday
